Eswatini recently disclosed that it had repatriated a Jamaican native who had been sent to the Southern African country from the United States under the Donald Trump third-country immigration policy.

In July, the U.S deported five third-country nationals to Eswatini as part of its campaign against illegal immigration.
Orville Isaac Etoria, a Jamaican who was part of the group, has now been sent back to his home country, according to a statement by the Eswatini government.

The statement added that Mr. Etoria, 62, was “warmly welcomed by members of his family” following his voluntary repatriation over the course of the weekend.
“Mr Etoria has safely returned to Jamaica, where he was warmly welcomed by members of his family,” said the Eswatini government statement issued on Monday.
The Legal Aid Society of New York, however, has reproved his treatment, claiming that Etoria entered the US as a minor and maintained legitimate permanent residency status there for many years.
The rest of the deportees to the small Southern African country, originally from Cuba, Laos, Vietnam, and Yemen, are still being held there.
As seen on the BBC, these men are being detained in solitary confinement in a maximum security prison in the capital city, Mbabane, after being described as ‘depraved monsters’ by the U.S government.
Originally, the country stated that the deportees were being kept in separate jail facilities pending repatriation procedures.
The legal representatives for the four deportees still in Eswatini claim they have been unable to get in touch with them.
But Eswatini disclosed that it is working to repatriate them all.
The deportation of 5 ‘depraved monsters’
In July, a deportation flight carrying immigrants from Yemen, Cuba, Laos, Vietnam, and Jamaica landed in Eswatini.
The flight had been authorized by the US Department of Homeland Security under the revised regulation that allows illegal migrants to be deported to countries other than their home of origin.

The Trump administration was able to continue deporting migrants without providing them an opportunity to prove that they were being persecuted or injured because of a June ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court.
U.S. Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin described five of the deported individuals as “depraved monsters” in a tweet on X.
