Highlighting the strategic relationship between the two nations, Egypt stressed that “the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Egyptian and Arab national security”.

According to The Guardian, Saudi Arabia announced it would retaliate after the overnight strikes damaged southern oil facilities and wounded more than 70 people.
