Africa-to-Asia emerged as the world’s fastest-growing long-haul private jet corridor in 2025, recording a 42% year-on-year increase in flights, according to data from VistaJet published in Knight Frank’s latest Wealth Report.
The figures, based on the private global aviation company’s booking and flight records for the full 2025 calendar year, outpaced growth on every other major international private aviation route. Middle East-to-North America and South America-to-Europe routes both grew 28%, while North America-to-Africa rose 26%.
Private jet flights between Abu Dhabi and London, for example, soared by +238% in 2025. While the leading routes remain familiar, the fastest‑growing corridors tell a different story.
Wealth mobility reshapes travel patterns
The data reflects a broader shift in global wealth mobility, with private aviation increasingly connecting emerging financial centres rather than relying mainly on traditional transatlantic routes. Fast-growing city pairs included Jeddah–Riyadh and Abu Dhabi–London, highlighting the Gulf’s rising role in global aviation and business flows, according to a report by Billionaires Africa.
According to VistaJet Chief Commercial Officer Ian Moore, wealthy clients are increasingly living and operating across multiple countries and continents simultaneously. “We see global wealth becoming increasingly mobile,” he said, noting rising demand for long-haul travel between emerging and established business hubs.
Africa also recorded strong overall growth within VistaJet’s network, with program flight hours on the continent rising 30% in 2025. The increase reflects growing travel demand from African business leaders, mining executives, commodities traders, and family offices moving between cities such as Lagos, Nairobi, Johannesburg, and Accra, and major Asian hubs including Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Mumbai.
The report also pointed to a younger generation of wealthy travellers entering the market. Nearly half of VistaJet’s first-time private jet users in 2025 were under 45, driven by globally mobile entrepreneurs and investors managing businesses and residences across multiple regions.
